Terms of Service

Last updated August 12, 2026

These are the terms for using DroneShot at https://droneshot.tech. They're written to be read, not to be survived. If something here isn't clear, email us and we'll explain it in plain English.

Who you're dealing with

DroneShot is operated by Astra AI LLC. That's the name that will appear on your card statement. You can reach a human at anthony@theastraway.com.

What the service does

You upload a photo, draw a path across it, and we generate a short video — an 8-second 1080p MP4 — that moves a virtual camera along that path. The video is produced by a third-party generative video model. It is an interpretation of your photo, not a recording of a real place.

That distinction matters if you're using the output commercially. The model invents detail it can't see: the far side of a building, what's past the treeline, the exact number of windows. Do not present a generated clip as a factual record of a property, a site, or a location — and if you use it in a listing or an advertisement, follow whatever disclosure rules apply to you.

Shots, and what they cost

You buy shots in packs. A standard (Fast) render costs 1 shot. A Max-quality render costs 4 shots. Shots have no expiry date — there's no subscription and no monthly fee.

If a render fails on our side or the model's side, the shots are returned to your balance automatically. You are only charged for clips that actually generate.

Your account is your email

There are no passwords. When you buy a pack, Stripe verifies your email address, and we set a signed cookie in your browser that binds it to that address. Your shots and your renders belong to the email, not to the browser — buy on a laptop and you can sign back in on a phone by returning through a purchase receipt link.

Keep your device secure. Anyone with access to a browser holding your cookie can spend your shots.

Videos are deleted after 24 hours

This one is important, so it's also on the home page and in the email we send you. When a render finishes, we email you a download link and show it on your renders page. That link works for 24 hours. After that we permanently delete the video file from our servers and the link stops working.

Download and keep your own copy. We are not a storage service and we cannot recover a deleted video — not for you, not for anyone. A video you failed to download before the window closed is not a failed render and is not refundable.

What you can upload

By uploading a photo you confirm that you have the right to use it. Don't upload:

  • Photos you don't own or have permission to use.
  • Imagery of private property, people, or premises where generating an aerial view would invade someone's privacy or help you surveil them.
  • Anything unlawful, or anything depicting a real person in a false light.
  • Content designed to deceive — fake evidence, fake documentation, fake listings.

We may refuse or stop a render that appears to break these rules, and we may close an account that does it repeatedly. If we close your account for abuse, unused shots are not refunded.

Who owns the output

You do. Subject to you having paid for the shot and having the rights to the photo you uploaded, you own the video we generate and may use it commercially — in listings, ads, social posts, client work, whatever. We claim no ownership over it.

We may generate similar videos for other customers from similar inputs. Nothing here grants you exclusivity over a style, a camera move, or a location.

What we don't promise

The service is provided as-is. Generative models are unpredictable: a render may come back with distorted geometry, invented detail, or motion you didn't intend, and rerunning the same photo and path will not produce the same clip twice. Aesthetic disappointment with a clip that generated successfully is not a fault, and it isn't grounds for a refund — see the refund policy for what is.

We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability. To the fullest extent the law allows, Astra AI LLC's total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we'll note it here with a new “last updated” date. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States.
